Job Title: Children’s Support Worker

We’re on the lookout for brilliant Children’s Support Workers in the Broadstairs area to join our friendly, community-based care team. We currently support three young people locally—each with different routines and personalities—but all of whom need consistent, upbeat, and proactive support workers to help them thrive in their day-to-day life.

You must have experience working with children or young people with additional needs to be considered for this role. We’re looking for confident, capable Children’s Support Workers who can bring their expertise into a rewarding and meaningful setting.

You’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for this Children’s Support Worker role, as all of our clients are supported in their own homes out in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a varied role where no two shifts will feel the same. Depending on the child and the day, you might:

  • Support children with autism, ADHD, or global developmental delay
  • Encourage communication and interaction in ways that suit each child
  • Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour management using calm de-escalation techniques
  • Promote safe and enjoyable access to the community (e.g. park visits, swimming, simple activities)
  • Provide gentle support with personal care routines and clear structure during outings
  • Help with practical transitions and maintaining familiar routines during school breaks or weekends

Some children are very active and love to get outdoors, others may need more sensory or structured play support. Either way, you’ll be working 2:1 to ensure safety, continuity, and connection.

This role is ideal for warm, confident Children’s Support Workers who enjoy building relationships and making a real difference one shift at a time.

What We Offer

  • £14 per hour
  • Excellent training and access to QCF Diplomas and specialised courses
  • Flexible working and a good work-life balance
  • Weekly pay
  • Self-employed or PAYE options
  • Free DBS
  • Up to 45p per business mile
  • Regular hours and work planned in advance
  • Supportive team that truly understands and values carers
  • £250 refer-a-friend bonus (T&Cs apply)
  • Regular clients and full introductions to each package
  • Regular check-ins and support from your Line Manager (virtual or face-to-face)
