Job Title: Live-in Carer

Looking for a role where you can really make a difference and feel part of something special? We’re on the lookout for a down-to-earth and reliable Live-in Carer to support a smart, independent woman who lives with a high-level spinal injury. She’s got a great sense of what works for her, and this is your chance to be part of a well-run, respectful care package where your input truly matters.

At NursLink Homecare, we’re all about helping people stay independent and feel good in their own homes—and we want our carers to feel just as supported. Whether you’re looking to build on your experience, pick up some new skills, or settle into a long-term role where you’re genuinely appreciated, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll need a full driving license and have access to your own vehicle for this Live-in Carer role, as our clients live in the community.

About the Role

This is a daytime live-in role supporting a woman with a C3 spinal injury. She uses a suprapubic catheter, needs support with bowel care, and has a solid routine in place including physiotherapy sessions and hydro pool time. Her home is well-equipped with a lift, hoist, and powered wheelchair—and she knows exactly how she likes things done. You’ll be supporting with:

  • Personal care in a respectful, calm way
  • Hoisting, repositioning, and general mobility support
  • Catheter and bowel care (full training provided)
  • Helping with meals, light household tasks, and being around if her husband needs a hand
  • Going along to appointments or community outings
  • Keeping an eye on blood pressure and oxygen levels when needed

She’s after carers who are friendly, consistent, and understand the importance of getting things right without taking over. Female carers only for this one, please.

What We Offer

  • £14 per hour (plus room and board while on shift)
  • Excellent training and access to QCF Diplomas and specialised courses
  • Flexible working and a good work-life balance
  • Weekly pay
  • Self-employed or PAYE options
  • Free DBS
  • Travel covered (mileage or rail reimbursement where applicable)
  • Supportive team that truly understands and values carers
  • £250 refer-a-friend bonus (T&Cs apply)
  • Full introductions and regular support check-ins
  • All rotas planned in advance – no surprises
