Looking for a role that truly feels like you’re making a difference? Join our national team of Health Care Assistants supporting families across England and Wales.
At Nurslink Homecare, we believe care is about more than just helping with daily tasks—it’s about bringing reassurance, balance, and genuine support to someone’s day. We keep our customers healthy and independent in their own homes, but we also do much more: We help people achieve their dreams. This isn’t just about supporting our clients—it’s about helping our Care team (that could be you!) build a career they can be proud of; including access to qualifications (QCF’s and more), experiencing a variety of styles of care, progressing into complex and clinical teams and more. Be part of something different and shape a career you’ll love.
We’re looking for kind, capable, and emotionally intelligent Health Care Assistants to support a mum of four in Somerton who lives with complex physical and emotional health needs. She has an ileostomy, reduced kidney function, and experiences fatigue and reduced mobility, so she’ll need support with rest, routines, gentle prompting, and light assistance around the home. Alongside supporting Mum, you may also be asked to offer light support with her two daughters, depending on who is at home.
Her 17-year-old daughter has a history of eating disorders and uses an NG tube for feeding—while you won’t be expected to administer feeds, confidence around this is important. Emotional awareness, calm reassurance, and gentle encouragement go a long way in helping the family maintain a balanced and supportive environment. Her younger daughter (11) has learning needs and benefits from guidance, support with activities, and being around people who are warm, friendly, and patient.
You do need a full driving license and access to your own vehicle to work as a Health Care Assistant with us. This is because all our customers live in their own homes in the community.
What we offer our Somerton Health Care Assistants:
- £14 per hour, paid weekly
- Free DBS
- Up to 45p per business mile
- A caring and supportive management team
- Access to QCF Diplomas and specialized training
- £250 refer-a-friend bonus (T&Cs apply)
- Self-employed or PAYE options
- Full introductions to the family before your first shift
- Ongoing check-ins with your Line Manager (virtual or face-to-face)
- Opportunities to grow your experience in complex family support
If you’re a Health Care Assistant who’s naturally calm, organized, and thrives supporting families in a meaningful way—we’d love to hear from you.
